Reaction of perfluoropropylene oxide and perfluoropropylene with α-fluorosulfonyl perfluoroacetyl fluoride at low temperature

A mixture of perfluoropropylene oxide and perfluoropropylene was bubbled into a mixture of KF, α-fluorosulfonyl perfluoroacetyl fluoride and diglyme at-15`C. The perfluoropropylene oxide reacted with α-fluorosulfonyl perfluoroacetyl fluoride to form compound (1a), (1b), (1c), while perfluoropropylene remained intact and could be recovered. When the temperature was raised higher than 0`C, perfluoropropylene would react with 1 to yield the corresponding perfluoroketones (2).
