Abstract

The transesterification reaction of β-methyl-β- methoxycarbonylethyltin trichloride and its complexes with dibenzylsulfoxideand hexamethylphosphoramide was reported. A series of β-methyl-β-alkoxycarbonylethyltin trichlorides and their complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and ^1H NMR. A mechanism invdving intramolecular Lewis acid catalysis was suggested.
