Syntheses of 2(3)-Fluoro-4-methoxymethylbenzyl and 2(3)-Fluoro-4-methylbenzyl Ester of Pyrethric Acid and Their Insecticidal Activity

Abstract

Syntheses of pyrethric acid and its esters of 2(3)-fluoro-4-methoxymethylbenzyl and 2(3)-fluoro-4-methylbenzyl alcohols were reported. The results of biological test indicated that two new py-rethroids show relatively high insecticidal activities against Culex pipiens pallens (larvae).
