Abstract

Title compounds 1-4 have been prepared by the acid catalyst cyclic condensation of pyrrole with benzaldehydes in good yields in organic solvents. The experimental results show that the pK~a of acid, the boiling point and E~T(30) of solvent are useful parameters in the choice of the acid and solvent.
