报导了用氨或胺衍生的N,N-胺二乙酸类化合物与苯并-15-冠-5和多聚磷酸反应, 探讨了这种体系的反应特点, 所用的N,N-胺二乙酸为分析化学上几种常用的氨羧络合剂—亚氨二乙酸(IDA)、氨三乙酸(NTA)、乙二胺四乙酸(EDTA)和1,2-环己二胺四乙酸. 它们分别与苯并-15-冠-5在多聚磷酸中加热后, 均生成了一种相同的非酰化产物亚甲基双(4'-苯并-15-冠-5), 而未分离出酰化产物.

Formation of methylenebis(4'-benzo-15-crown-5) (I) has been accomplished by heating a mixture of benzo-15-crown-5 and N,N-aminodiacetic acid in polyphosphoric acid (PPA). The reaction pathway probably involves reaction of N,N-diacetic acids with PPA to form the corresponding anhydrides, followed by release of CO2 and CH2O thermally. As a result, I was formed by the condensation of CH2O with benzo-15-crown-5 under the action of PPA.
