(NMCp)2TiCl2-catalyzed reduction of carbonyl compounds by grignard reagent

本文研究了在双(新 基环戊二烯基)二氯钛催化下异丙基溴化镁与芳基酮或酯和α,β-不饱和酮或酯的反应, 发现还原反应中优势, (NMCp)2-TiCl2催化下格氏试剂对酯的还原, 其产物取决于催化剂的量, 同时, 还改进了双(新 基环戊二烯基)二氯钛的合成方法, 本文还提及了反应可能通过自由基历程。

Aliphatic, aromatic and a,b-unsatd. ketones were readily reduced to the corresponding secondary alcs. by iso-Pr magnesium bromide in the presence of a catalytic amount of bis(neomenthylcyclopentadienyl)titanium dichloride, while diaryl ketones afforded reduction coupling product pinacols under similar conditions. Aliphatic and aromatic esters were reduced to the corresponding primary alcs. by the Grignard reagent with the same catalyst.
