N-Heterocyclic carbenes are novel catalysts and ligands. The study on N-heterocyclic carbene metal complexes has got a fast development in recent decades. In this paper, the latest progress of the application in metal N-heterocyclic carbene catalysts to ketone hydrosilylation is reviewed.
