Application of Binaphthyl Derivatives as Chiral Ligands in Asymmetric Dialkylzinc Additions to Aldehydes

Optically active binaphthyl derivatives have been extensively used as excellent chiral ligands in asymmetric catalytic reaction. This review describes recent advances in the application of monomeric, dendrimericand polymeric binaphthyl derivatives and their metal complexes as chiral catalysts in asymmetric dialkylzinc additions to aldehydes.
