Given the importance of α-tertiary amines and the advantages of radical reactions, various methods have been developed, including radical amina-tion/hydroamination of alkenes, radical C—N cross- coupling, radical addition of imines, and C—H bond activation of alkanes.

封面介绍In recent years, f-block metal arene complexes with various structural features have been synthesized and characterized by Deng, Wang and Huang on page 56. Particularly, low-valent f-block metals can form δ- symmetry interactions with arenes, enabling the access of unusual oxidation states and unprecedented redox chemistry. This review surveys the recent advancement of f-block metal-arene interactions and provides an outlook on the future development.

封面介绍The synthesis of novel near-infrared aggregation-indu- ced emission (AIE) molecules 1~3 by coupling two tri- arylamine-modified benzothiadiazole donnor-acceptor (D-A) units is reported by Dong, Su, Pan, Ren and Chen on page 205. In THF/H2O mixed solvents, the com-pounds 1~3 exhibited AIE properties with emission bands between 600~1000 nm and fluorescence quantum yields up to 13%.
